This box was created to house a family bible. It is constructed of black walnut. The top is veneered with makore pommele and quarter sawn sycamore. The cross on top is inlaid quarter sawn sycamore and the inlaid cross underneath is black walnut. The bottom of the box is banded with quarter sawn sycamore. This sycamore came from the customer's childhood home. A small purple heart handle was added to aid in opening the box.
